Alfred van Deemter, my father, who supported me on the genealogy investigations throughout the years, and who is my motivator in
restarting it several times. In a very accurate way he orders the data coming in from archives, internet or relatives and takes care
that no mistaks are being made. He is also responsible for scanning old newspapers in archives and taking pictures of grave stones
of Van Deemters in the 19th century.
Alje Cornelis van Deemter. In the 1980's we met for the first time. Alje Cornelis concentrated on finding living Van Deemter's
all over the world. He provided me with most of his results, which opened up some new family tree branches for me, most important of which
is of course the South African branch, of which we suspected the existence, but were never sure of.
Brenda van Deemter. Responsible for investigating and putting in place the South african branch of the Van Deemter family tree.
Married in Deventer with Alje Cornelis van Deemter after years of contacts on the family tree.
I contacted her via Alje Cornelis van Deemter, first by mail, and later personally.
Hans van Deemter. In the 1970's, I received some genealogy papers from my Grandfather, which he had received from Hans van Deemter.
These data, going back to Alje van Deemter (bapt. 1754) have been my starting point for my family research.
